Sandie contacted me a few months ago for some decor for a baby shower she was throwing for a friend. The gender was to remain a surprise so she chose neutral colours of grey, black and white for the colour scheme. I made a custom banner with scalloped circles and squares, black tulle to tie the pieces together and used glittered damask cardstock for the ends.
She also ordered black, grey and white tissue paper pom poms and tissue flower poms on stems to place in vases. The photos I added on the end of this post are from the baby shower. She did such a great job putting it all together, it looked amazing!
So it has been a while since my last post, i’ve been super busy with the web & graphic design aspect of my business but now I have a little time to catch up and blog some decorations I have made over the past few months!
One of my favourite customers, Kat contacted me for her youngest daughters first birthday party. She decided to go with a bumble bee theme with favour labels, cupcake toppers, a banner and tissue paper flowers. The venue she had booked didn’t allow any thing taped on the walls etc. so we decided to go for tissue paper flowers on each table in a mix of milk glass and clear vintage vases. I made two large paper flower arrangements for the dessert and gift table.
I had so much fun making this party package, I think it all turned out so great and looked fantastic! She really is one of the best customers a gal can have, she is so supportive and I am always so thankful that she gives me her trust for such momentous occasions in her children’s lives!
It was my sister’s birthday a couple of weeks ago and we had a small family BBQ to celebrate. I was only going to make a couple of pom poms and a cake banner for her but I changed my mind of course two days before to make it a tad more elaborate! It was a lot of work to pull off in a day but she is worth it 😉
My sister loves bold bright colors, so I decided to go with a Moroccan theme with a lot of fuschia, orange and some pops of purple and gold. I hung tissue paper pom poms in Cerise, Tangerine and Purple, the tulle pom poms were in Hot Pink and the garlands were made from gold cardstock.
For the centerpiece on the table I made matching tissue paper flowers and cut out a Moroccan pattern with my Silhouette Cameo out of glitter gold cardstock to wrap around the vase. I also made custom cardstock with a metallic gold moroccan pattern for the mason jar lids and name tags for the mason jar cups.
Since we were kids it has been tradition for our birthdays to have ice-cream cake from Dairy Queen. I bought a plain log cake and decorated it with small tissue paper flowers and made the cake pennant banner from the same custom cardstock.
It was such a fun way to end the summer and to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and most importantly the birthday girl was surprised and enjoyed herself!
First off I wanted to apologize for the lack of posts and updates! Just when I thought I had the time to get my etsy shop up and running, an opportunity came knocking and I just couldn’t pass it up! I’ve been contemplating a while now whether or not to rent an office space that was more suitable to meet my web design clients but with the hours I work I decided to find a home with a detached studio. Well I found the perfect home and with unpacking and renovating the office, I’ve totally fallen behind! But with this new larger space I am hoping to be more productive so please stay tuned!
Between all the moving madness a fantastic customer contacted me for some items for her daughters 3rd birthday. Her daughter loves pink so everything was in different shades of pink and I think it looked all so adorable! I especially loved her party favors, which were sand pails with custom labeled bubbles! Here are some pics, along with some of my customer’s photos.

Wow, it has already been over a month since the Indie I do show and I am FINALLY putting up some pictures from Indie I do. I am so behind on everything and have put my own website on the backburner because of my web design business, but I promise I will be blogging and updating more frequently! I also will be adding a few more products soon so please keep an eye out!
Indie I do was such a fantastic bridal show with so many great alternatives for todays modern bride. All the vendors had such creative and unique booths, products and it was definitely an inspiration. The entertainment and atmosphere was fun and upbeat and we met so many great brides and couples.
Kien & Sweet’s booth was a huge success, it looked even more amazing then at the Cinderella Bridal Show! Diem (my sister who planned and designed the setup ) had more space to work with this time and placed Kien’s beautiful cakes on top of a adorable vintage side tables and a vintage chair that flanked the table. I had almost triple the amount of pom poms this time and instead of hanging the tissue paper pom poms I clipped them from behind the backdrop so it lay flat against it and created a clustered wave of pom poms around Kien’s sign.
For the table , Diem scattered my napkin poms on top of the moss and filled the pearl-strung birdcages with them as well. The burlap and satin table runners, Kien’s beautiful cakes and desserts, the vintage inspired cake stands and white milk glass bud vases completed the whimsical garden theme perfectly!
Thanks to Kien for using my pom poms and EXTRA special thanks to Diem & Mae who helped us for both shows for absolutely nothing in return. You ladies are truly wonderful friends!
Here are a few photos ( thanks Christa!), taken by the incredibly talented Christa Carr (check out her photos on her website, they’re beautiful!).
Pom Pom colors: Coral, French Ivory, Grey and Navy
Last weekend I was at the Cinderella Bridal Show sharing a table with cake designer Kien Nguyen of Kien & Sweet. We had the pleasure of meeting many new brides, bridesmaids and even grooms!
Kien made 250 cake samples for the show and they ran out before the end of the show,(though I have to admit I ate more then my fair share of a sample per person)! Our table looked amazing and unique, thanks to Diem Nguyen who designed the parisian garden theme. Diem wanted to give the brides some inspiration for their weddings and I think our table was quite inspiring!
All in all it was a wonderful experience and I would like to give hugs, kisses and thanks to Diem, Kien and Mae for all their help. Special thanks to Daryl for taking the photos and Kaya for all his help prepping for the show.
I will be helping Kien & Sweet at Indie I do on January 28th so make sure to come by and try some of her delicious samples!

A couple of months ago a good friend of mine who owns and operates Kien & Sweet told me she was going to show her beautiful cakes in the Cinderella Bridal show on January 8th and Indie I do on January 28th. I offered to make the tissue paper pom poms that I have been planning to make to sell on Etsy as her booth decor.
I was happy to hear that I was able to share the table with her and even sell some of my products, so these couple of months have been quite hectic for me! I designed and revamped Kien & Sweet’s new business cards, stickers and created a new website and blog for her. And I somehow, two days before the show, am able to share my own website with everyone!
I originally created Reincarnated for my freelance web design services and for my love of vintage clothing and home decor but with my newly found interest in event decor (thanks to my sister who just got hitched this past summer), I decided to combine it all!
And of course, sorry for the late notice but come visit me and Kien & Sweet at the Cinderella Bridal show on Sunday where you can purchase my tissue paper pom poms and yarn decor! Oh and eat some yummy cake samples too!
