Mae’s Wedding Invitations

When my girlfriend Mae and I started discussing design ideas for her wedding invitations, we both fell in love with the idea of a die-cut single paged invitation. Her invitations would be completely custom so we got to work on deciding a shape for the die-cut, patterns, monograms, font, ribbon colours and cardstock.

Mae and Tim (her fiancé) chose charcoal grey metallic card-stock for the base of the invitation and gold metallic card-stock for the die-cut shape. They chose a simple quatre foil pattern in eggplant and it was all topped off with matching grosgrain ribbon with a diamond buckle slider.

Any custom work is a bit of a process for both parties, I value my customers input and ask for their opinion right down to the size of the font. Simple details like matte vs. metallic cardstock and satin vs. grosgrain ribbon make a huge difference. One of  my favourite aspects of graphic design is comparing the first mockup to the final assembled design and Mae’s finished invitation exceeded my expectations by far! The bride-to-be loved the invitations and I am so happy to be able to help in any way to make her big day special!!

Floral Bridal Shower Invitations

My girlfriend Mae is getting married in July and I have been having so much fun helping her with the upcoming festivities. The first thing I made were her bridal shower invitations. I designed the invitation with teal watercolour flowers, gilver and teal text. I printed it on white linen card stock and used matching teal envelopes. I love, love the teal and how it all turned out!

Destination Wedding Invitations

My girlfriend contacted me about making invitations for her co-workers destination wedding in Hawaii. The bride-to-be wanted the invitations to look like boarding passes in fuchsia and silver. To give the boarding passes an authentic look, I used glossy cardstock and both of the ends are perforated. The back was printed with a pattern of fuchsia hibiscus flowers and the boarding pass sleeve was made with silver metallic cardstock. The couple was very pleased with them and I hope their destination wedding is amazing!
